Associate Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a candidate to provide technical support for our coating development work using various deposition methods. The individual must be self-motivated, be able to understand and follow detailed verbal or written instructions, and have a positive/flexible attitude with the ability to adapt to changing priorities. This is a hands-on position where most of the engineer’s time will be spent in the company’s laboratories and cleanroom.

The Associate Engineering will be responsible for the following areas:

Operation and maintenance of novel custom design equipment.
Compliance with environmental health and safety requirements.
Design and procurement of supplementary tooling and fixtures.
Testing Process chemistry with ChemBox providing feedback to the team.
Implementation of Quality and Productivity control systems.

Desired Skills & Experience

Working knowledge of complex automated equipment design and operation.
Working knowledge of ISO Standards and Quality Systems.
Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
Job shop experience, preferably in a chemical processing environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with CAD programs including Solidworks is desired.

Education & Experience

B.S. or B.A. in Engineering or other related engineering or science discipline or 5+ years prior experience demonstrating proficiency in the areas described above.
